Update

Things are going well. They are just getting ready to insert the valve. It had been up in the air as to whether they would try to repair or replace the valve, so this means they have chosen to replace it. Our next update will be in 2 hours or so unless they get her off the heart/lung machine before that (which we don't anticipate).

Came over from Judy's blog, have been reading your story and praying for Olivia for a couple of months now. I will continue to do so, as you face these latest challenges. Blessings to you and peace for your hearts.

Your load is heavy. I hope that all the friends, family, church members, and even strangers, who are moved by Olivia's story, are in some way sending their energy to you to help you carry your load.

The gals at Olivia's daddy's work are with you today, in our thoughts, prayers, and tears.

I'm so glad that they are keeping you so well informed. I'm sure you feel like you're holding your breath waiting for updates. I just wanted you to know that there are lots of us out here holding our breath with you and praying non-stop.
The kids and I had a playdate with one of our friends this morning. One of the first things my friend said to me was; "Isn't Olivia's surgery today?" Be encouraged...so many people are praying! An email went out to our prayer team at church this morning and Olivia's name was on the list!

We will all keep Olivia in our prayers. She is such a sweet little girl. My 11 year old daughter likes to look at your blog often to see how that cute little baby is doing.

Julie,
My heart was breaking and still is for you when i heard the news of Olivias cancer. Julie, I am so sorry, I cant imagine the pain that you are going through and how overwhelmed you must feel.. I think back everyday how I felt in that hospital hoping and praying that everytime the docs came in the room that there would be some good news.. And when there wasnt, I felt like i was swimming against the tide in a deep blue ocean.. I think about how lucky Anthony was to have a second chance and I pray to God everyday that God will take all of your pain and heal olivias body.. I cant imagine how olivia must feel.. But her fights are no where near effortless and that little girl is a miracle baby just like anthony.. I am always here for you.. We are coming up on the 17th, and if you would like to get away for a few hours, mom and i would love to spend time with olivia and to give you a break!! You gave me so much hope when we were in peoria and I hope that I can help you in anyway possible.. Mom and I would like to help with a benifit auction for olivia to help give back what everyone gave to us when we needed it.. Everything is going to be FINE! I promise, and olivia will be playing in the backyard and pulling the flowers in no time!! lol and like Anthony, you will be overwhelmed more on your nerves that anything else! I never knew that little kids could make SUCH NOISE!!!! I crawl the corners of my mind sometimes! But i wouldnt change a thing:) We love you and are here to help!!!
