My apologies...

Sorry about the lack of blogging today. The computer at the hospital is broken, so I haven't had any internet access until now.
Big day for the entire family today! I got to get a little squeeze in today. Dr. D. came in to assess Olivia and asked if I had held her. So, I got to hold her for quite a while. It's still pretty uncomfortable since she has her lines in, but she found a comfy spot and took a little nap. Then, this evening, when Zac brought the kids in for an exchange, we got permission for them to see her from the window. The kids were really excited and thought that she has gotten really big. Jack was a little apprehensive with the wires, but after we talked about it a little bit, he was fine with it. She was wide awake, sitting up, and gave them a couple of smiles. It was definitely awesome to see. The fact that they hadn't seen her in almost 10 weeks had to be getting to them. So, a memorable day for the family - that's for sure!
Anyway, she's doing great. They've been able to wean her oxygen down to 60% (still at 10 liters) and all of her cultures have come back negative for infection so far. They did have to re-start her blood thinner drip, but hopefully not for too long. She's definitely staying on the right track!

What a wonderful day for your family. Tears are flowing. Prayers and thoughts continue. As I told Zac, I start my day with you and it keeps the rest of the day in focus. Ardell

My husband and I have been reading your blog every day and saying our prayers. I fully admit that I cried happy tears when I read how well she is doing. She is most definitely a miracle baby, many times over. I'm thrilled that things are going so well. I can't wait for the day when she can stop by the office again and say hello! We'll definitely continue our prayers.

Hi! I am a friend of Judy Chatterton. Judy has kept me informed about Olivia since her birth, because I have a brother with Downs. I can relate with your situation because my brother spent the majority of his 1st 3 years of life in the hospital. There were 3 different nights that I remember being woke up, because my parents were told he would not live through the night. But with God's help he beat those odds and is a pretty healthy 24 yr old who graduated from public school with his peers! Craig is such a blessing to our lives. The simpliest things in life bring him great joy. Olivia will also be a great blessing to your family. I can relate to how your kids must feel, because I remember those days very clearly not having my parents around and Craig always in the hospital. All I can say is that in the end it made me a stronger person!
I say all this to just let you know I'm praying for you and that this will hopefully only be a small piece to Olivia's life!
