Birthday Party Day!

So, Brooklyn wakes up this morning and rolls over. She's barely even awake yet, but asks me if there is anything I would like to say to her today? Ummm...good morning?
Wrong answer.
It's Happy Birthday Party Day!
She's been waiting a whole year for this. She asked Zac the same question, and he failed, too.
It's amazing how she could have cared less about her actual birthday on Wednesday, but the fact that Birthday Party Day is today, is the best thing that's happened in her whole life.
I forgot my camera, but I'll be sure to post someone else's pictures.

I am brand new to your blog. I hope Brooklyn had a great birthday party. I wanted to let you know that I had a brother with Down Syndrome who passed away in 1980. My parents were very proactive and didn't allow him to be "institutionalized" as the doctors recommended. Instead, they found him schools to attend and he lived a happy life at home. He was the first one in our family to become Christian by watching TV ministries. I started taking him to church and he was baptized about a week before Christmas that year. He passed away early Christmas morning, in 1980. There is a poem called "God's Very Special Child" that my mom had found in the Dear Abby column years and years ago. She cut it out and kept it with her. Please google it, so you can see it. It is so touching and I always try to share it with friends that have 'special' children.

Waiting (impatiently) to see pictures of Brooklyn's All-time Best-ever Happy 5th Birthday Party Day! Have you started planning for next year's Happy 6th Birthday Party Day? It'll be here before you know it!

P.S. How's your house doing on the housing market? Need prayers?
