Thurs. morning update

Olivia had a pretty good night last night. She has a whole lot of junk in her lungs, so she is requiring a lot of suctioning, which she doesn't care for too much. They are going to give her another quiet day today. They did put her on her tummy and she seemed to like that a lot. Around 10:00 a.m. they are going to turn her back over and put a feeding tube in to start feeds that way. She's also starting to get really puffy, so they are increasing her diuretic. They are still pacing her heart on a temporary pacemaker to give her a little break and she is still on the paralytic. Other than that, just try and keep things status quo.

We haven't heard back from St. Jude Memphis, yet. Hopefully sometime this morning.

I'm so glad to hear that Olivia had another good night. I also think it's great that the doctors at St. Jude are already working with you even though you're not there yet. What a blessing it is to live in this country where we have such great medicial care! Please let all those doctors and nurses know just how thankful we are for them!!
We're continuing to pray for Olivia and we're hoping today is a nice quiet day!

My son Caleb is now 2 years old with Downs. He is such a joy and the best blessing I could have ever received in my life. We also went through the heart surgery. People often feel sorry for us due to his having downs. There is absolutely no need to feel sorry for us, they should be happy for us. We have been blessed with the best gift god could have given us.
Olivia is a beautiful little girl and she is in all of our prayers. Good luck and keep your head up because she will get through this and continue to bless you with her happiness. God Bless!!
