Beautiful.

Olivia handled all that like a pro. Basically, there is a basic pediatric trach tube. It just so happens that Olivia needs one that is 2 sonometers longer. Right now, she has the regular endotracheal tube stitched into her neck. It's rather strange looking, but is serving it's purpose. They will order her the size she needs and will use the new one when it's "trach change day" which should be next Monday. They'll keep her paralyzed for at least 3 days and then rather quiet until that first trach change. Can I just say it's soooo nice to see her face with nothing on it! It's been so long - no tube, no tape, no tube holder, no oxygen! She's beautiful. So is her new G-button;)

What a day! I'm so glad things went well even if there was a little drama Olivia style :)
I can't wait to see some pictures of her precious face when she's all recovered from her latest surgery!

Go Olivia! We are thrilled things went well. Olivia always has to keep them on their toes, the boys will not recognize her without her tubing! We will be praying for a smooth recovery from this surgery.

God Bless,

Wow, what a whirlwind of a day for you all!! Glad Livvy made it through with flying colors!! (Besides the tube issue, of course she needed a special one, can't beleive no one thought of that ahead of time, ha ha...only Livvy) I'm working down in General tonight but will pop at some point to see that beautiful "naked" face.
